Hello Friends,
It sure has been a while since I’ve blogged on here. As it is #GivingTuesday I have decided to give all of you a worthwhile post containing a build order for every match-up on the new patch, based off of VODs from the IEM Gyeonggi Online Qualifiers. If you have not watched these VODs yet and don’t want to be spoiled, turn away now, you have been warned (or go watch the VODs here then come back). If you find this post, or the site as a whole worthwhile I encourage you to give back to SC2Links in the form of a donation. Thanks for visiting, and here-we-go:

Keep making SCVs/Marines and transition into reactored widow mines/liberator harass. Key idea here is to take efficient trades by dropping/keeping the zerg on the defensive. Maintain constant upgrades by adding on an armory and don’t forget to make depots. You should be able to kill the zerg off of 3 bases but if it goes further keep expanding and adjusting your army to their composition. You will need marauders eventually, maybe tanks. If you see mutas make turrets.

Move out around ~5:10 with 2 tanks/marine/medivac and elevator into the protoss main while doing liberator harass at the protoss natural (be patient seiging the Protoss, unlike jjakji). Make engineering bays and get upgrades to keep up vs the protoss. Make mass reactored liberators once you have a nice mmm ball and stay on top of the warp prism drops, Use liberators to hold off adept harass and position your seige tanks to hold expansions. Attack the protoss third and try to kill the third from there. If you can’t kill him immediately pin him in and bring your tanks up to seige their position. Take your 4th base as you kill his third. If you lose the fight fall back to your tanks. If they make coll transition to vikings. Templar? Ghosts.

Transition into +1/+1 and tank/viking production. Add on 2 rax when you are taking your third. You are going to be on the defensive early, so be prepared to defend drops and all ins. Raven/Vikings will control the sky and allow you to push back tanks/bio armies. Mix in marine/medivac until you have controlled your space. At that point, mass marines/tanks and upgrades. Cycle 2 medivacs/2 liberators. Liberators will enable you to control the middle of the map. Take a 4th when you are nearing max supply (~10 mins). Use Raven autoturrets to take out tanks and move across the map to seige your opponents expansion when you have your opponent on the back foot. Liberator/Tank is your jam in this matchup.

Research glaives and make a warp prism when the twilight coucil/robo finish. Throw down 5 gateways when the third completes (goal is 8 total). Don’t forget to make pylons. Put sentries in the warp prism and try to force field off the zerg main while warping in 8 adepts. You can split the adepts to kill everything in the main/natural/third/etc. Mass immortals to support the adepts and when the zerg tries to counter attack, chase them down when their attack fails. Immortal/sentry/adept is your goal.

Maintain Stalker production and get +1 attack upgrade. Add on pylons to avoid being supply blocked. If the terran has widow mines make multiple observers, otherwise make immortals out of the robo. Move across the map with stalkers around 5:00 and see if the terran is coming to kill you. If the terran seiges your third before you see him you likely have to cancel – if you catch him out on the map wait till he retreats. When he tries to retreat either way, blink on top of unseiged tanks and kill them. Retake the third and research glaives/add on 4 gateways. Continue to get upgrades and make immortals. Make a warp prism when your third completes and start transitioning into adepts. Blink stalkers > Liberators if the terran attacks. Adepts should be used to drop on mineral line and absorb tank shots when the ultimate battle comes around. Never give up, never surrender!

Since there were no PvP games recorded at the IEM Qualifiers I pulled this from the recent BaseTradeTV ‘WOOD You WATCH This‘ VODs. Hope this helps y’all out in PvP!!

Continuous probes from here on out. Add in stalkers if the opponent is getting aggressive and start an immortal as soon as the robo is finished. Use mothership core defensively with good overcharged pylons. Once you immortal is out you should be able to hold off any pressure. Mana gets supply blocked this game which stalls his initial army but he uses sentries to hold off attacks at his ramp and tries to mimic the army composition of his opponent. If you are being pinned in use a warp prism to ferry units out of your base. Add in more gateways if your opponent takes down your nexus or when your nexus completes. Good warp prism micro will win you the game with immortals. Remember, if the opponent is flooding units into your base he likely isnt making probes at home. Don’t fold under pressure, seize the moment!!

At this point it depends on what the terran has done. Is he killing you with reapers? You need lings. Are you deflecting him? Make drones. Around ~4:00 if you are stabilized make a ton of lings and scout around the map — you want to catch reapers out if possible. Take you third around ~4:30. If the terran commits with mass reaper kill them all like ByuL does. Pressure the terrans natural by ~5:30 and kill some scvs. Transition into banelings/lair/+1/+1. Keep making lings and opt for good cost effective trades. ByuL eventually goes muta and wrecks every engagement. Take bases and be as zergy as possible.

At this point make as many lings as possible. Make sure you are scouting for DTs/phoenix/oracles/etc. Make spores if required. Use banelings defensively. Lair at ~5:00 as well as a Roach Warren. You will probably have to deal with adepts, use fast lings to chase them down. If the game goes longer, deny the third with lings and fight the main protoss army with Roach/Ravager/Speed banes. There will be an all in push and you will defend it.

Start roach production. You’re going for a 3 base roach bust. If you have injected properly you will have a roach lead. Overlords, roaches, overlords, roaches. If you don’t get supply blocked you will just roll your opponent over.
