Motivating life in an unmotivated world.

I’m going to try out a variety of subjects in regards to these posts, and you can let me know what you like, what you don’t like, and what you’d like to hear about by tweeting to @DOOMSC2 on twitter – comment sections ruin websites and require too much administration, so we’ll use Twitter to keep the conversation alive and do follow up’s based on the best comments I receive.

For today, I’d like to share some honest, quick notes on life and motivation:

Sometimes life sucks, you feel like shit, and the path you’re on stops. Sometimes you can’t pull yourself out of bed because the dream traveling through your neurological pathways is more enticing than the real world. Sometimes things just aren’t going to go as planned.

Despite this, we cannot allow our fears to trump our dreams.

There is opportunity in misfortune. There is hope in failure. There is rebirth in death.

It is important to note that ‘death’ is not only applied to life – it can occur with states of mind, ideas, passions, events, businesses, shows, games, and a whole host of other things. To view death as a linear entity is silly – we see it in all things.

As far as we can tell, you’re given one opportunity to show the world what you’ve got in life – and your wager is placed in the form of black cloak and sickle. This should be your motivation, every day – make that wager worth it and get the return you desire, not the one you’re satisfied with.

If you know this already, good for you – otherwise, your new life starts today. Get out there, make waves, and never stop.
